I attended Dublin Institute of Technology (TU Dublin) from 2006 – 2009 on a part-time basis and was awarded a 1st class honour, BTech. in Construction Technology.
I built a Detailed 3D Google Sketchup model of Terminal 2, Dublin Airport based on actual construction drawings and also received ‘The Frank Harte Prize Award’ for Excellence in Construction Conservation Project, DIT
I took my unemployment in 2009 as an opportunity to advance my education further and I returned to college full-time for the final year of the Construction Management Hons. Degree. I was awarded an overall 2.1. I also received a 1st class honour in my Thesis Report – Implementing Universal Design in Ireland. As part of my research I took part in the 24 Hour Universal Design Challenge.
I prepared a presentation on my experience in University of Ulster for the Centre for the Education in the Built Environment (CEBE) January 2010 for which I won the “best paper award in the student stand.”
